Artist's Statement

I am a multimedia artist living in Detroit. I like to create in all sorts of ways.
After spending some time exploring and photographing abandoned spaces,
I've been more recently creating mixed media works, sometimes incorporating
found ephemera from the places I've been.
I enjoy not only giving these things a new life and a new story, but I also love
working with the variety of materials - paints, pastels, inks, photographs and papers.
I am interested in exploring all facets of expression,
and I hope to work in as many mediums as possible.
I was recently honored to be selected to exhibit my work solo for the first time
by the historic Scarab Club - Detroit, as part of their 2013 Emerging Artist Series.
